| The E-Mon D-Mon ECA-2 (External Contact Adapter) allows the user to monitor the utility electric meter with the E-Mon Energy Software. A pulse contact provided by the utility meter sends energy information via the ECA-2 to the IDR data accumulator. |

The E-Mon Energy Software, in turn, reads the kilowatt-hour and
demand data from the IDR. This data can be used for the purpose of
energy conservation, demand-side management programs, utility rebate
incentives, cost analysis or monthly comparisons of usage.
Additionally, the ECA-2 can be used with water, gas and BTU meters
with contact (pulse) output. E-Mon D-Mon submeters can be added to the system when more detailed information is required pertaining to specific areas or departments in the facility. The ECA-2 is designed to connect utility meters with pulse contacts to the E-Mon Energy system through the IDR interface unit. The ECA-2 can be installed up to 500 feet away from the utility meter if required. Compatible with Class 1000 & Class 2000 meters. |
